The other side of the case. I can leave the memory cards on all the synths and put the case cover on.
6U is not ideal to carry, it is fairly heavy. When I gigged, i'd stick to 4U, but having that many synths would not be practical to wire each time. Mixer output goes to the patchbay, so technically I only have to route the 2 audio cables to the console. Similarly, 1 midi in & out on the front of the Kawai MAV-8 & I can route however I want.
Alesis QuadraSynth "Keys" providing the Rhodes electric piano sound, through serious reverb (a little tricky to play, having to hit slightly early compared to the drums due to the reverb delay). Other synths include the Korg M3R (M1 in a rack) and the Moog D for the bass sounds and the Crumar Bit 99, a classic Italian synth, for the hauting melody line.
I do have the whole Speak and ... series and Super Speak and ... (and other talking toys), but I was in a hurry, limited time, so:
Special computer voice sounding like the Speak and Spell were actually done with Plogue's ChipSpeech #vst #plugin recorded to a #tascam unit, then transferred to an #Alesis sample playback unit. The other special effect early on comes from a #Roland Jupiter 8 (JP-08). Recorded to multitrack recorder / mixer.

In the Assembly Manual under "Getting started" I find the following advice:
"watch tutorial videos".
This is NOT HELPFUL at all!
I am looking at you, #ALESIS!
(and how about putting the necessary tools in the box in the first place, eh?)
