The #bbs02 motor on my #xtracycle edgerunner is drooping, the nut won't tighten (what wrench can really grip that 4-notched nut?) or even loosen, with anything I could manage to do to it while spouse waited to ride to dinner, but it's really not practical to expect the friction of a compressed bottom-bracket shell to resist the vibration and impact twisting of the motor weight vs every bump you hit. I ended up with a bit of paracord on it, and stuffed a shim in just to keep it from wiggling. š«¤
Before I had multiple #cargoBikes and I was taking the kid to preschool on an e- #xtraCycle every single morning, I had a keyfob garage door opener button in an inner tube zip-tied to the handlebar (ends folded over to seal out rain) that was super convenient for a few years until the battery died, and I've just finally cut it off to replace the battery. Now I need to re-seal it but also want something that can move between bikes rather than being in my pocket (what I've done for most of ~8yrs)

The impact of a long-tail cargo bike
NateWent out for a ride with no specific destination on ye olde #XtraCycle this afternoon (not too chilly, very sunny, but also windy).
Shortly after I left I happened upon this studio rack in a free pile, so looped back home. Nothing exciting, but hopefully functional.
Went out again, eventually popped by a lumber store and did some #GravelGrinding on the way home with a 10ā (3m) long 4āX4ā (9cmX9cm) for an upcoming bike related #DIY project.

Riding the 2014 #xtracycle bbs02 #edgerunner more often lately, thinking maybe I should get a #GrinMAC motor for the rear of it, possibly a new bigger battery and update some parts. It's just such a dependable old truck but the rear is a little flexible when youngest+spouse are both on it. 11yo prefers the #supercargo / #umbrellaBike & 13yo is too heavy to not be pedaling so we end up on the #bikeFriday tandem more.
