“You have to surrender to your mediocrity, and just write. Because it's hard, really hard, to write even a crappy book. But it's better to write a book that kind of sucks rather than no book at all, as you wait around to magically become Faulkner. No one is going to write your book for you and you can't write anybody's book but your own.” Cheryl Strayed

One of the best (non-fluffy) writing tips I can share is to always write down the ideas that pop into your head. Even if it’s 4 am and you’re half asleep, grab your phone/laptop/pen/paper/scroll and take that shit down. Digital assistants (Alexa, Siri, google) can help make this process more accessible too.
I’ve plotted out many story ideas in a dreamy haze only for them to slip away to the memory underworld.
As an indie author, I have been approached by scammers so many times that I could write a book. I'm not the only one, of course.
One question I often see on social media is: How do I spot a book review scam? Here is a case study that should help.
