This week, the bishop of San Bernardino formally excused Catholic parishioners from their weekly obligation to attend Mass following immigration detentions on 2 parish properties in the diocese, which includes #Ontario.

The whereabouts of many of the people who were picked up by federal agents last week has not been publicly known, & ofcls have said very little about most of the people who were detained.

Méndez is the chief program officer at the #Immigrant Defenders Law Center, which represents #immigrants across #LosAngeles. She said on Tues that her team of lawyers had been scrambling to communicate w/immigrants who had been detained at #workplaces, retail stores or on the streets.
