#aquafortis est appliqué sur le bois avec une bout de lingette en coton. Il prendra une coloration verdâtre en séchant.
C'est pas très jolie sur le coup, mais la magie survient lors du chauffage.
La chaleur provoque l'oxidation du fer dissout dans l'acide nitrique pour donner une coloration rougeâtre au bois. Voici le résultat une fois huilé en comparaison avec l'hickory naturel.

Il fallait bien que ça arrive! La baguette de chargement en hickory a cassé.
Je vais donc récupérer l'embout forgé et en refaire une nouvelle.
C'est aussi une bonne occasion de démontrer l'utilisation de l' #aquafortis pour teindre le bois.

Le pukko est fini. La lame c'est de l'acier vg10 feuilleté. Le top de l'inox à mon sens. Lame a soie traversante, martelée sur une piécette.
Manche en bois d'amourette virole en inox12c27, corne de cerf, laiton.

La lame qui sort de la trempe et le marquage des pièces du manche, en laiton et inox 12c27
