Any ipados knowledgable people?

I have an ipad air2 wall mounted that i use for home automation. Unfortunately it loses wlan connection almost daily (or more often) and doesn't reconnect.

Is there a magic setting to make it work?

turning it off and on is a bit tedious, because physical buttons are not reachable easily (have to take the ipad out of its mount and remounting is fiddly to get it well aligned with the cover again. )
