#ComputerGraphics, 1ed, 1983, #Harrington
I came across this newly published textbook in 1983, while browsing my college library. I was an EE undergrad, then. It opened my eyes and changed my life.
Without this book, I'd have been satisfied just being an 8-bit gamer. This book compelled me to delve deeper into #3D graphics as an undergrad, and pursue #VolumetricRendering in grad school. Also, my obsession with graphics in those early days set me up for my lifelong obsession with #computing—architecture, algorithms, languages, compilers, computability, networking, operating systems, windowing systems, graphical user interfaces, ....
I owe much to the author and those couple hundred pages of this book. Funny how a little book can alter the course of someone's life.
