I wrote a Christmas story for La Repubblica last December called "The Miracle of Volterra". About 5 artists who chase sadness and fear away with the work of their hands. I based them on 5 artists who live and work in Volterra. Last night they made me the most magical gift. They created the 3 creatures I had described in the story and brought them to the Christmas tree on the Piazza Priori. I don’t remember ever receiving a more magical gift.
