Steve Novick has hired Spencer Knowles, campaign manager of Sam Adams 2020, IDK if that's a pro-bike/transportation crew or not, lost his seat to get us a gas tax, initiated VisionZero, but where did that get us without any actual Engineering guidance like cars are 6.5ft wide this is not rocket science Steve, but he did agree to ride on the tandem I didn't have yet ๐ค

This entire street is a perfect example of wasting space and money we don't have for #YellowCenterlines which tell drivers to go faster and that they own the space, meanwhile we expect them to be "careful". #AdvisoryBikeLanes would be a better use of the limited space and funding, let cars "share" the middle.
PBOT going to spend $1.3M making the pavement on NE Broadway more smooth for two lanes of car traffic (so the 2nd can kill you when the 1st stops at a crosswalk.)

Letโs hope that whatever administration we end up with can quickly catch on about how PBOTโs current project delivery process was designed to build and maintain streets for cars. Theyโre failing to deliver on #VisionZero because they insist on everything being cast in concrete after years of โoutreachโ that never reaches actual users on the street.
