People say roundabouts are less convenient for pedestrians, but standing at a #stroads intersection traffic light for several minutes while your bus goes by across the street seems pretty inconvenient.

Biking is about as fast as driving for short trips, given decently effective bike infrastructure where you can average 15-20mph. Granted, much of the bike infrastructure is not safe or even okay at those speeds, and half the time it ends into multiple wide high-speed car lanes where you just get to pick one and call it your own. The resultant amount of time spent on politics probably works out to roughly: it would have been faster to walk (in the ditch.) #stroads #climateAction #transportation

#tacticalUrbanism popup #roundabouts -- when people come together in public space outside of their cars, we see the same patterns over and over. Why is this completely unlike the #SafeStreets projects proposed by #trafficEngineers?
