@ascentale @Kleen @bikenite #BikeNite A4: My bicycle accessory people mention most often due to being surprised about it are my wooden ergonomic handlebar grips by #Velospring (https://velospring.de/, unfortunately the website seems to be in German only):

"Oh, look! A Brompton with wooden grips!"

They're then even more surprised when they learn that the grips are torsion spring suspended.

Unfortunately they get scratched rather easily. Can't have bar-end stuff either. Nevertheless love them.

@kaleb_haugen @ReCyclist: I had the #Ergon GS1 for several years on my Brompton. They're not bad, but the inner stabilizer layer broke rather early on one side and they get sticky if I used sun screen beforehand.

I've recently exchanged them for wooden #Velospring grips with torsion bar suspension (https://velospring-fahrradgriffe.de/sen-comfort/?lang=en) and I'm very happy with how they feel. But they're way more sensitive to scratches. Another downside is their price tag: The wooden ones are ~€220 (non-wooden version ~€120).

@gnomon: I did request installing a #Velogical #Velospeeder e-assist kit, #Velospring grips and a Schlumpf #MountainDrive. She offered me a used MountainDrive but we had to cancel the latter due to some suspected defect on the used part and the manufacturer being unreachable for repair assistance due to currently moving. It's postponed at least until they finished moving. Luckily I don't live far from them -- but I had no luck in contacting them either. Contacted Juliane only afterwards.
