CIDRAP Minnesota: For nearly 80 years, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was respected around the world for its authoritative, evidence-based leadership in public health.

But the CDC’s stunning reversal Wednesday—stating on its website that “studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”—shows the agency can no longer be trusted, multiple doctors and public health advocates told CIDRAP News.

After unprecedented autism-vaccine messaging change, scientists, advocates say CDC no longer trustworthy

CIDRAP

The CDC has gone full on anti science and combating it will take the help of everyone since corporate media has no interest in offending Sauron.

I'd like to remind everyone that you too are influential, especially in your own circles. If you have anyone in your friend and family circles who are encouraging others to not vax, you can be a very powerful voice against that.

Things you can do:

If you are part of any group chats, you can post very gentle, subtle reminders to get people to vaccinate. You don't need to confront anyone head on.
"I just got my vaccine, just FYI, the pharmacy at xx and yy has appointments available."

Post pro vaccine content to your social media.
Just posting any content at all is helpful in that it reminds and reassures people.

If you handle any kind of community newsletter, you can put in general information about vaccines in the neighbourhood, even if its not directly connected to your organization.

You can wear a button/sticker showing you got vaccinated or support vaccines. This is what we call ritual communication. Communication without saying anything. Think of it like wearing a baseball cap. You let people know you support a team without saying a word. You won't convince the hard core anti vaxxers, but people on the fence will get one more data point.

Every point of reminder and reassurance is a good one. You are more influential than you think. If we all do this, we can decrease the reach of the anti vaxxers.

"UK did 'too little, too late', leading to thousands more Covid deaths, says inquiry", but concludes that the vaccine rollout was a success. I think, the most important lesson is that we were poorly prepared and need to learn from this.

Understanding more about the risk of cardiovascular disease in the large population-group with mild Covid-19 is essential since the preventive need might be extensive. This study examined the risk of cardiovascular disease following Covid-19, considering risk periods and prognostic factors i.e., social factors, Covid-19-vaccination and comorbidities. The study cohort included the Swedish population aged 40-75 years (n = 4,095,414). Covid-19 was associated with elevated hazard ratios for all outcomes; ranging from 1.22 (95% confidence interval:1.14-1.31) for acute myocardial infarction to 4.31 (95% confidence interval:4.09-4.55) for pulmonary embolism. The increased risk was most evident among hospitalised individuals, however, also individuals with mild Covid-19 had an elevated risk. Finally, our findings demonstrated increased long-term cardiovascular risk and generally stronger effects of Covid-19 in more vulnerable social groups. In this work, we demonstrate an increased risk of cardiovascular disease after Covid-19, also among mild cases, findings relevant from both a public health and healthcare perspective.

Covid-19 and cardiovascular disease in a total population-study of long-term effects, social factors and Covid-19-vaccination - Nature Communications

Covid-19 has been linked to cardiovascular complications, but the long-term impacts, particularly for mild infections, are not well understood. Here, the authors investigate the long-term impacts of Covid-19 on cardiovascular disease using data on the whole population of Sweden aged 40-75 years.

WHO plans broader vaccination campaign in Gaza

The World Health Organization says it plans to vaccinate more than 40,000 children in Gaza against various diseases during the ceasefire, including measles, whooping cough, hepatitis B, tuberculosis and polio.

It has already helped vaccinate more than 10,000 children below the age of three this month as part of the first phase of the campaign.

@moira Fuckity fuck fuck... "There's not sufficient evidence to show that vaccines don't cause autism..." Well, what would you consider evidence that would show that vaccines don't cause autism. There is zero evidence that it does cause autism. Is that not sufficient evidence? Zero evidence for the positive claim you're trying to make, seems like very significant evidence to me.
