Trying to reproduce a strange issue from a customer VSX cluster deployment in my lab to check some steps to fix it. The customer is running an end of support software version and in this state with one cluster member being in DOWN state, not able to update without an outage. An outage needs to be avoided in any case. 😬

Spending the evening with my Check Point Virtual System eXtension (VSX) lab. Building a VSX cluster with 3 VSX gateways in Virtual System Load Sharing mode. I need to check all the available states like Active, Standby, and Backup including priorities and weight configuration options and play around with it. 🤓 #CheckPoint #VSX #VSLS

If you work with SIMD and wonder how it looks on the other architectures then VectorCamp has launched website which helps.

On https://simd.info/ you can look which intrinsics are available on Arm, Power and x86-64 (RISC-V RVV will be there too). Compare them etc.

There is a search function, tree of operations and links to the official documentation.

Même si ça ne remplace évidemment pas une pièce traitée, ça aide énormément à percevoir des gros défauts de mixage et de faire un comparatif rapide avec d'autres stations d'écoute. Ça a immédiatement amélioré mon mixage. C'est assez impressionnant.

My setup isn’t ideal either. I use headphones for all of my work, normal ones for recording & initial mixing. Then Slate VSX for fine tuning by emulating different 1st class studios. I’ll then use the speakers as a final listen just to ensure there’s nothing really out of place.
Because I use headphones for pretty much all my listening now, I can use that experience to mild what I’m hearing when I record & mix.
