When I was assessing the cost effectiveness of various HOTAS unit combinations, I wanted to make sure I was getting the features I needed without breaking the bank. I also got advice from friends and online.
The WINWING Ursa Minor initially caught my eye, especially for the current presale price with free shipping. However, for various reasons I eventually ruled it out. I then considered the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO and the WINWING Orion2 16EX.
The latter was within reach as a stand-alone flight stick (without the shaker), but without rudder control out of the box I’d have to buy an $84 Z-axis extension that is…out of stock. After tax and international shipping it was just a bit too expensive to justify purchasing, so I went with the Gladiator.
Quite chuffed with my Gladiator. Feels nice in the paw. Everything is snappy and within reach. Can’t wait for some more simming. :3
