[P] I'm intrigued by this because Steam doesn't rely on averageness for that one algorithm I spoke of. It seems to take a person it's advertising to as the baseline and clusters around that. So even if the person is very much an outlier, the system doesn't rely on the majority and averageness for matching. And... that's actually pretty clever. This is contrary to the vast majority of algorithms where a heavy averageness bias is baked in.

[P] It's funny, because the only algorithm in existence that even remotely understands my interests is Steam, and that's because it has a system that operates purely on 'people with libraries X per cent similar to yours like...' and that works. I mean, if a lot of persons' libraries suggest 'autism and dragons,' and they like a game, then I'm probably going to be baseline compatible. It's the only working algorithm I've ever seen. And that's funny.
