Doing one final share of this article from early 2023. Probably stating the obvious by now but still pretty happy with it. This is the last of my backlog, so the next toot you see like this will be new material.

I argue that LLM's will never have creativity until they achieve consciousness. It's a more philosophical, theory of mind route for this problem. I also argue that these techs are nithung more than copyright infringing machines - often controlloed by some of the most draconian enforcers of DCMA legislation.

AI, IP theft, and the death of creativity.

Over the past year or so, the prevalence of machine learning and AI-generated material has reached a new level of fervour. ChatGPT, in particular, has triggered a chorus of articles, think pieces and general handwringing over the future of humanity. An algorithm could be coming for your job next, be that copywriting, art, or even

It is easier than ever before to produce visual media, but what does that mean?

I've been recovering from a pretty bad experience recently, I'm hoping publishing this can help me move on, and maybe help people in a similar position.

Wanderstop – the game that gave me permission to sit with my pain

Content warning: this article includes description of an emotional breakdown and bodily self harm. It also contains mild discussion of the ending of the game Wanderstop. Boro sat with me and told me I could take as long as I liked, and I could leave when I was ready. As we gazed across the grassy

I've written an article about Ian Danskin's concept of "Stochastic Totalism" that affectively argues that The Matrix already exists and that we're all inside it.

I think it's pretty important. The moment I realised that we're *all* getting PewDiePipelined was pretty staggering to me.

I also happen to think it's the most important think I've written to date. I think the threat is pretty scary.

We are all trapped in invisible prisons, with no-one at the wheel. And fascism is filling the void between us.

This in probably the most rambly thing I've written, but I've heard one or two people enjoyed it. Unfortunately I do think we mostly have 'returned to normal', but I still think there are things we could learn from our experiences during the plague years.

I think I might finally be starting to create for myself again too - it's taken a while.

In a previous life I ended up getting an inside perspective on the effort to crack the #11BX1371 ARG/crypto art project. if you're into #cryptography it might be of interest of you.

If you enjoy the article let me know, I'm delighted to have the ability to recieve feedback on my work again, without having to use disqus or the like!
