@paco @kasperd @tdp_org a little OT but FWIW the magic search URL param to prevent the AI slop summary showing on the Google search result page is (currently) &udm=14 - it corresponds to “show me the web view instead of the default view”
you can add that param to your custom “search engine(s)” defined in your browser settings & use a keyboard shortcut to invoke a slop-free^ search from the omnibox 💁♀️
^ well, “slop-reduced” - you still get the slop in the actual search results 😕

@yuriiname @joter а я з тих, хто бачить в згенерованому "ші" контенті проблему, яка псує результати пошуку, і з тих, хто проти copilot і подібних рішень на даному етапі їх розвитку.
Якщо ви чули про #udm14, то можна де завгодно хостити свій варіант html сторінки з правильними параметрами до гугл, які виправляють певні проблеми. У мене така сторінка вже є на гітхабі, можете спробувати кому цікаво:

Для власного децентралізованого пошукового рушія треба багато місця та процесорного часу на обробку даних. Ви ж розумієте, що з кожним роком індекс лише зростатиме, а пам'ятати пошуковик має все. Зробити таку децентралізовану мережу буде вкрай важко. Для прикладу, у веб архіва станом на листопад 2024 року зберігалось понад 916 мільярдів веб-сторінок і понад 100 петабайт даних. Можете уявити скільки потрібно серверів та дисків, щоб це розподілено індексувати.

A few days ago I posted an article moaning about the enshittification of Google Search. Usually posting a piece like that achieves nothing except letting off a bit of steam. This time, however, one of the comments suggested a way to decrapify Google Search. Thanks to Andy Newsam for the tip.
