I come down the stairs at the 44th entrance and these young women are dancing in place. “Shake it!” I say, “Shake it like you mean it!” and they clutch each other, laughing.
But my card is empty and we become grownup New Yorkers, using neighboring OMNI machines. Once my card is full, and I realize their music is still softly playing, I dance a bit as I retrieve my card. I Love New York.

Habe mal wieder #Turnstiles von Billy Joel gehört. Was für ein schönes Album! Am meisten beeindruckt mich, dass ich beim Hören ganz konkret den "New York State of Mind" in mir fühle, irgendwie. Und das, obwohl ich noch nie dort war, ehrlich gesagt noch nicht mal auf dem entsprechenden Kontinent.

Das Rätsel um die Personen auf dem Cover hatte ich auch wieder vergessen und dank Internet neu entdecken können.
