I cannot believe my good luck tonight to get our photo in the lobby of her Off-Broadway musical “Bigfoot!” at NY City Center, closing Sunday.

Lobby. Waiting for friends, I see some people greeting someone coming up the steps, curse words are involved. Then the person coming up the stairs is the writer! The reason I am here!!

Neighborhood update: The chicken finger place just south of the corner at 43/ 9th closed, and Red Poke from the corner moved down. The new African place at 44th often has buffet $9.99. That Georgian restaurant (Russian) where the ribs place was (corner 45th) has costumes behind glass.
The dollar store at 47/ 10th is closing after 10 yrs but new owner will open similar. I will miss seeing their cute kids playing video games several weeknights.

I come down the stairs at the 44th entrance and these young women are dancing in place. “Shake it!” I say, “Shake it like you mean it!” and they clutch each other, laughing.
But my card is empty and we become grownup New Yorkers, using neighboring OMNI machines. Once my card is full, and I realize their music is still softly playing, I dance a bit as I retrieve my card. I Love New York.

I didn't bring the umbrella from the car in jersey bc I thought the sun was out now, etc. On my way from Port Authority home in the rain, this wonderful young woman also walking north on ninth offered to share her umbrella, seeing me using my face shield to protect my head.

The SWEETEST #fag EVER chatted me up on the #express #train #home #yesterday from #work. He complimented my ring, then wanted to know what the other #rings were (Tanzanite), then he showed me his rings and we decided we both like #geniune #gemstones, not glass. I complimented his #necklace and moved to the front of the train with a smile, from car to #car.
