1/ The Office of Management and Budget (#OMB) just called for public comments on a comprehensive proposal to overhaul the federal process for awarding research #grants. Comments are due no later than July 13.

Parts of this proposal have been covered by past Trump executive orders. But this proposal would make them federal regulations harder to repeal by future presidents. Other parts have been foreshadowed but not yet adopted. The proposal would apply to nearly all the federal funding agencies. As a previous president would say, this is a #BigFuckingDeal.
