#introduction
Hey everyone!

I just realized I don’t actually have an intro here, so here we go!

I’m 34 years old, I’ve got a wonderful wife, and we live in Central Finland.

I’m currently spending time at university as a form of mental health break and do IT work on the side. Both as a consultant for a healthcare-sector company and as a freelancer.

I moved to Finland in 2001 from Denmark. My mom is Finnish, my dad was Indian. So Finnish is technically my second language, but these days it’s actually my strongest one alongside English. I come from an entrepreneurial family, which probably explains why I have #ADHD and am interested in a bit of everything, but don’t really get anything done :--D

Things close to my heart include #videogames, #coffee, #fusionjazz, #musicproduction, #rhythmgames, and #coding.

I’m not exactly a great programmer. At work I focus more on digital processes, video production, occasional O365 support, and poking around in WordPress. That said, I’ve built a few smaller coding projects for myself and coworkers.

In my free time, I code a bit more seriously. I’ve made video games with friends for game jams, and I’ve built quite a lot of websites over the years, including with #11ty.

I collect vinyl and CDs. In recent years especially Casiopea and Japanese fusion jazz have really clicked with me. On the other hand... I hate the saxophone, which unfortunately rules out a lot of otherwise excellent bands.

I’ve been into specialty coffee since around 2012 and love trying new roasteries. I’ve also had the chance to roast coffee myself a couple of times. At home I’ve got a Rancilio Silvia, a couple of grinders, and about a dozen manual brewing devices (Chemex, V60, Aeropress, etc.).

My wife and I play a lot of #Overwatch together, and occasionally fun co-op games like the #Trine series. I’m also really into #FinalFantasy, #HollowKnight, #Silksong, #Horizon, #Hades, #Balatro, #BombRushCyberfunk, #OriAndTheBlindForest, and #Tetris.

I also play dance games quite actively and I’m rather good at them. I played In The Groove competitively from 2005 to 2012, and after a long break I started again in summer 2025. I’m the Finnish A-class champion of 2009.

Morienttes kaikille!

Tajusinpa tuos, että mulla ei ole esittelyä, joten täältä pesee!

Oon 34-vuotias, mulla on ihana vaimo ja asutaan Keski-Suomessa. Opiskelen hermolomalla yliopistossa ja teen sivutoimisesti IT-hommia konsulttina sote-alan yrityksessä ja freelancerina.

Olen muuttanut Suomeen vuonna 2001 Tanskasta. Äiti on suomalainen, isä oli intialainen. Suomi on siis mun toinen kieli ja nykyään myöskin mun vahvin kieli englannin lisäksi. Tulen yrittäjäperheestä, joka varmaan selittää miksi mulla on #ADHD ja olen kiinnostunut vähän kaikesta, mutten saa mitää tehtyä :--D

Sydäntä lähellä on #videopelit, #kahvi, #fuusiojatsi, #musiikintuotanto, #rytmipelit ja #koodaaminen.

En oo kummonen koodari, töissä keskityn enemmän digitaalisiin prosesseihin, videotuotantoon ja satunnaiseen O365-tukeen ja Wordpressin tunkkaukseen. Mut on sitä muutama pienempi koodiprojekti tullut tehtyä omaan ja työkavereiden käyttöön.

Vapaa-ajalla koodailen vähän enemmän. Videopelejä on tullut tehtyä kavereiden kanssa game jameihin ja nettisivuja aika paljon muutenkin mm. #11ty:llä.

Keräilen vinyyleitä ja CD-levyjä. Viime vuosina varsinkin Casiopea:n tuotanto ja japanilainen fuusiojatsi on uponnut hyvin. Toisaalta, vihaan saksofonia, joka rajaa aika tehokkaasti muuten erinomaisia bändejä pois.

Olen harrastanut erikoiskahveja about vuodesta 2012 ja tykkään testailla uusia paahtimoita. Olen muutaman kerran myös saanut paahtaa kahvia. Kotoa löytyy Rancillio Silvia, pari kahvimyllyä ja tusina manuaalisia uuttolaitteita (mm. Chemex, V60 ja Aeropress).

Vaimon kanssa pelaillaan aika paljon #Overwatch ja satunnaisesti kivoja co-op pelejä kuten #Trine-sarjaa. #FinalFantasy, #HollowKnight, #Silksong, #Horizon, #Hades, #Balatro, #BombRushCyberfunk, #OriAndTheBlindForest ja #Tetris ovat myös omaan mieleen.

Pelailen kanssa ahkerasti tanssipelejä ja olen niissä ihan hyvä. Pelasin aktiivisesti In The Groovia vuosina 2005-2012 ja pitkän tauon jälkeen aloitin uudestaan kesällä 2025. Olen vuoden 2009 Suomen A-tason mestari.

Lots of gaming on the weekend. Continued #Halo 4 with a friend and I'm having a lot more fun than in Halo 2 and 3. The flaws haven't really been fixed but I have given up on the story entirely so now it's just a fun "cool guns yeah!!" game. :D

I've also continued #Trine 3 with another friend. It's the 3D one and we still have mixed feelings about it. It just has so many bugs and glitches. We are convinced though that it could have been great since once you get used to the new ...1/2
