Liebe #Chaos--Spezis: Funzt #anonbox.net (Einweg-#Trashmail-Service vom #CCC) noch ganz normal wie früher™ ?

Grund der Frage:
Nach einer Account-Registrierung (für Aktion eines Elektromarkts) landete deren 1. Bestätigungs-Mail normal abrufbar im anonbox-Reader.
✅ So weit, so gut.

Meine Testmails jedoch (versendet von 3 Accounts bei Hetzner / ionos / GMX) landen nicht in der anonbox!
Even worse: der anonbox-Mailcheck-Link _ohne_ Java sagt 404!!
🙄 wtf?!

Any ideas?

La maintenance de SimpleLogin n'étant pas des plus aisés, le manque de mise à jour pour la version selfhosted rendant cette version incompatible avec les derniers plugins Android / web, j'ai pris la décision de ne plus maintenir ce service en ligne. https://hostux.ninja sera coupé le 1ᵉʳ juin.

Hab mal etwas recherchiert zu Alternativen. Hab zwei #trashmail Serverprojekte gefunden:

https://github.com/HaschekSolutions/opentrashmail (Letzter Commit 2023)

Könnten vielleicht einen genaueren Blick wert sein. Eine nicht mehr gewartete Software zu betreiben, ist auf Dauer wohl auch nicht gut. Probleme bei Systemupdates und Sicherheitsaspekte sind da nur zwei Argumente.

@kmj #Trashmail.com is a European site that uses #cloudflare, so indeed it would be interesting to see if that's even legal. If you're in Europe you could complain to the #GDPR enforcement office in Germany and see what they say. I think this is the site of that office: https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.de/en/home/

After #Trashmail.com moved into #CloudFlare's walled-garden, I have to chg my email address w/dozens of businesses. These companies all have #CAPTCHA'd their contact forms & use broken ESPs, like #gmail. And no #fax number. The only way to reach these businesses from the free world is snail mail. WTF. The Internet has become so broken by #Spamhaus, CloudFlare, & #reCAPTCHA.
