Minnesota joins nine other states that have similar trans refuge bills. My thanks goes to my state rep, Rep. Leigh Finke, who I voted for, for leading this initiative. On Friday MN enacted HF148. This is the trans refuge bill. Trans folks living in Minnesota CANNOT have their healthcare records subpoenaed to serve laws in another state that hold trans healthcare to be a crime. Moreover, Minnesota will not admit warrants from other states based on gender-affirming "crimes." The bill also protects the parents of trans kids who move here for their child's gender-affirming care from warrants and subpoenas from other states relating to that care. 1/2
