We're living proof, whether we want to be or not, that body ≠ gender. And that we're stronger than dysphoria.

This weekend has been the first in a long time where I’ve experienced #transjoy. I felt confident enough to dress feminine and go out into a city centre, and having strangers gender me correctly without needing to know any of my background. Sometimes I worry I’m wrong, but after this weekend, I feel happier in myself.

So yesterday myself and @GwenDragon both went out to the North Yorkshire coast and for the first time in quite a while I went dressed femme. Apart from maybe the interesting choice of outfit (tights on shorts in a reasonably cold wind), no one actually noticed/cared. I certainly didn’t notice any one staring nor did I overhear anyone commenting on the fact I’m trans.

I must remember this when I need some confidence.

I had a spontaneous thought from out of nowhere earlier that I thought I would share.

Here's the thought..

I'm a fluid woman, I like my body, I feel good in my body, and I dress how I want, regardless of what my identity says. I'm happy being trans, and happy being me. I'm not sure where that came from, but I'm glad the thought was there, and even more so that I was able to acknowledge it and live in that moment. #Trans #transpositivity #transpositive #me

I keep thinking that people see me as male (or “that I don't pass” to put it another way).

But then people keep treating me as if they see me as female… So that's great! 🙂
