The Office for National Statistics says that Brexit has cost us 4% of GDP. Doesn’t sound much does it.
But UK GDP for 2021 was circa £2.2trillion. So if Brexit cost us 4% then the cost is £91.7bn
That’s not just a one-off cost of £91.7bn. It’s costing us that much *every year*. But what does it mean?
Well the #ToryBrexit is costing us £1,368 on average for every man, woman and child, every year.
So for a family of four that’s an annual cost of £5,472!
In this cost of living crisis, what could your family do with an extra £5,472? Every year? It’d make a huge difference!
£91.7bn is a vast amount to have removed from our economy. It’s like scrapping half the NHS.
So when Tories tell you that they can’t help everyone, the truth is that they inflicted #Brexit to help their Russian Oligarch billionaire donors to avoid EU regs and so keep their assets secret.
The picture is Theresa May saying Brexit will be a success whilst pointing at stats she commissioned that show it’ll be terrible
“We made it the law that we would deliver net zero carbon emissions by 2050. And only then did we start thinking about how we would do that… These mistakes were made because we told people what they wanted to hear first and then tried to work it out later.” —Kemi Badenoch #ToryIncompetence #ToryBrexit https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/kemi-badenoch-tory-brexit-mistake-b2680251.html
