Crushable! Big coffee and bourbon barrel notes, a thick chocolate body and a snappy boozy finish.
Had to thaw out a bit after this morning’s spectating, those fire rings were life savers! Early evening sunlight is glorious, adding fire to a beautiful ruby red barleywine.
#threeFloyds Pillar of Beasts is barrel-aged, rich with coconut and caramel, both sweet and tart and salty. Perfect for a sunny cold day.
Monday has been a long week already… what Pillar of Beasts awaited me?

Lucious ruby red, a tart lead with a carmelly body and a smooth salty coconut finish. Really nice sipper!

Every time I grab a #threeFloyds Wig Splitter Coffee #stout off the shelf I don’t know what to expect!
Honestly have to let it rest 6 months to get the flavor right. Now has a nice chocolate nose with mild coffee and a creamy body. The bitter finish has eased up a lot.
Let the celebration begin!
Oh and the turkey 🦃 too…
I swear every bottle of #threeFloyds Wig Splitter coffee #stout is different! Age must agree with it, this one is dark coffee and dark chocolate with a smokey bitter finish.

After a Monday of too much to do and too little time, one can forgive a splitting head…
#ThreeFloyds Wig Splitter Coffee #stout makes my head hurt too, as bottle number four is DIFFERENT yet again! Fourth time lucky - aged 6 months the coffee finally stands out. Coffee and chocolate nose with a bitter finish.
What is this strange magic?
I may have figured out the name - third bottle, third different flavor experience!
#threeFloyds Wig Splitter is making my head split - This bottle has more coffee notes in the chocolate base, creamy but pretty light-bodied.
All from the same four pack, all bottled this year. What will bottle four be? Stay tuned…
Everything in the new stash is warm so with dinner let’s give #ThreeFloyds Wig Splitter another go.
I’ll up my score slightly but this still is much more chocolate than Coffee #stout espresso to my taste. Creamy but not remarkable, actually pretty normal (check the label).

Trying a #threeFloyds Wig Splitter oatmeal coffee stout with spicy white chicken chili for dinner. The label would make you the think it’s a mind blower, but to me it’s a chocolate nose that’s flat on the coffee flavor. OK but not a keeper as compared to other coffee stouts.
