A post with no interactions could have been seen by no one, or a few thousand people, we don't know.

When you engage with the #Fediverse, you're engaging in #IndependentMedia, loosening the grip that #Fascism has on the discourse. These kinds of channels are crucial for enabling #AntiFascist discourse, and just generally making a space where #fascists don't have any power.
...and anything that builds the network counts. Posting links to mainstream media sites counts. Posting pictures of flowers on the BloomScrolling hashtag counts. Posting random blurbs about your day counts. Even just lurking and scrolling around counts.
Anything that builds the network, and especially anything that adds to the wide range of content on here, counts.
Let's keep it flowing!
Reminder again that there is NO #ALGORITHM ON HERE. Which means POSTS WITH LINKS ARE GOOD.
Sometimes I see people advertising #streaming or #commissions and they don't have an actual link to the site it's on, meaning there's nothing for people who see the post to click. This also means, because there's nothing to click, there's nothing to really share other than someone saying they are doing something.
So put links in your posts!

And making you feel welcome is a community effort, with actual investment, because the community runs the platform and we all want more artists.
And even if you have a problem with where you're at, you can always move to a server that will give you a better environment.
...but that's hardly ever even a problem because most server staffs consider artists, anyone making new and interesting content really, to be the greatest asset the community has, because #TheContentMustFlow.

Saddened to find out today that apparently #Cohost, an indie nonprofit blogging site that was popular among artists, is shutting down. There was a lot of good content on there, and I know how it feels to see the place that you've been posting your thoughts and art for what could have been years suddenly evaporate, and for some people, I know it's just as they've been getting established there.
A shut down like this hurts everyone.
If anyone is coming over from co-host, or any other site that is going down, or a country like #Brasil / #Brazil that has banned your previous #SocialNetwork, or just needs help getting established on here in general, feel free to reach out to me. I am always an open volunteer for expanding the #Fediverse.
I also encourage anyone who has a Cohost account to go post on there to try and help the users find their way here.

Reminder to thank your local Moderators, who have to slog through literally the most vile and hateful content that people post on the #Fediverse in order to keep it off you're timeline. Like, these people are unpaid volunteers who basically agreed to be exposed to everything you don't want to see, then go in and resolve stupid fights or deal with people in crisis, all with people screaming that so-and-so is literally Hitler because they didn't perfectly handle such-and-such user saying something stupid right away.
...and yet the Network stays together, the timeline stays clean, and the content keeps flowing, and as we all know, #TheContentMustFlow.
So thanks #Fedi #Moderation! Keep up the good work!
