Mich spontan für einen 90 Minuten Vortrag melden?
Kann ich. 🫣
Die passenden Folien in 9h Arbeit aus dem Boden stampfen?
Auch. (Sind aber nur 95% geworden)
Fehlt noch der Feinschliff und die Tonspur ...

Given I still have time on my hands, and I just had an interesting accessibility experience with a financial app:
1. Would you be interested in articles that basically boil down to, “This probably could be better, and here’s what can be done to fix it”?
2. Would you like me to come hang out with you at no cost?
Multiple choice poll. Boosts would be appreciated as I am small. :)

Converting individual coaching site to #PHP: https://mastering-the-mundane.com
Adding more pages. It makes sense to start using templates (just enough - just in time #XP).
I'm using trunk-based development without feature flags because #YAGNI.
Replaced scheduling link on main page: https://calendly.com/mastering-the-mundane/30min
Pushed to main and was like, OMG, I'm gonna need to roll that back!
But, nope, because none of the new pages are public. So, same public #UX.
Had a developer moment updating a project: "Man, this is no good; I should do something about it."
That's the judgy part. The part that wants to throw everything away and start over using my current knowledge, patterns, and understanding.
This is the distracting part.
The site still works. The code is well crafted for my knowledge, patterns, and understanding at the time. Time to start making notes of how to get "there" from "here."
A couple of people from teams I worked with at my previous employer reached out recently.
During those calls, they both said something in the spirit of: You know, we could have listened to you more.
The imposter syndrome part of me feels relieved in these moments. My angsty jerk side tends to be more like, "Yeah! You should have." The pragmatic coach side of me is like, "How can I do better next time? What were the challenges? What can I do next time?"
Just me?
This week’s highlight: a coaching chat about still finding value working with junior (sic) engineers as a senior engineer.
"Again for the first time" came up, an approach I value every day. It’s refreshing to meet today-colleague as a new person and today-challenge as new too.
