my Android phone now has that horrible Chrome targeted ads thing, and I am not amused. Obviously I have switched off the three switches but that's still putting more trust in Google (to obey my choices) than I'd like. I wasn't comfortable getting Android to start with but it was that or Apple when the COVID hit and the tracker app came out.

I don't want to have to find a better phone OS. That feels like so much work, and it shouldn't even be necessary.
