You may be thinking something along the lines of Labour are going to win anyway so there's no point in me voting, but this could be a rare chance to slam the Tories so hard it either decimates the hard right in their midst or pushes them so far down that they become a fringe party.

Remember that the UK's voting system is winner takes all - that means if you vote for a losing candidate, your vote WILL NOT COUNT toward deciding who runs the country. It's wasted.

If you don't like the idea of your vote being unceremoniously binned, you can reclaim some of your voting power by VOTING TACTICALLY!

For example, I'm voting for Labour even though they're not my first choice, simply because they have the best chance to beat the Tories, which is the most desirable outcome for me. Voting for any other party increases the Tory chance of winning.

Our local Lib Dems have bulldozed through airport expansion and are currently deriding council efforts to reduce traffic. They're as bad as the main parties.

I will *not* be #voting tactically

I will *not* be voting _against_

I will *not* reward the opposition for being bland, unambitious and only slightly better than the current incumbents

My votes from here on will send tiny signals into the future that there is support for real political alternatives. I will trust others to add to these signals.

It may not work, but democracy is also not working, so I am also supporting and taking part in campaigns to change our #democracy.
