The head of public health in Kunar, Muzafar Mukhlis, told TOLOnews that 15 wounded individuals and one body were transferred from the scene, adding that most of the injured are women and children.

American detainee in Afghanistan, Dennis Coyle, who was released today (Tuesday) by the Islamic Emirate, had his family request his release from the Islamic Emirate’s leadership in a letter.

A copy of the letter obtained by TOLOnews states: “Dennis, who has held a deep love for Afghanistan over the past twenty years, has tirelessly worked for the promotion and development of the Pashto language and other minority languages, in order to show respect to your country and appreciate its beauty and traditions.”

This comes as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced his release today in a statement.

He had been in the custody of the Islamic Emirate for more than a year.

Afghanistan’s Supreme Court Announces First Day of Eid al-Fitr on Thursday

The Supreme Court of the Islamic Emirate has announced that tomorrow, Thursday, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

According to the statement, a number of people in Farah, Helmand, and Ghor provinces sighted the moon, and their testimonies were officially accepted.

Based on this, Thursday, March 19, has been declared the first day of Eid across the country.
