The Turkish Embassy in Kabul has expressed sorrow over the casualties suffered by Afghans due to last night’s earthquake and floods.

The embassy posted on X, extending condolences and offering sympathy to the people of Afghanistan.

The National Disaster Preparedness Agency stated that from the 6th to the 15th of the current month of Wari, 77 people have been killed and 137 others injured due to natural disasters across the country.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology, under the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, has predicted heavy rainfall and floods in 24 provinces for tomorrow (Sunday).

The department warned of heavy rainfall and floods in Herat, Farah, Nimruz, Badghis, Faryab, Jozjan, Balkh, Sar-e-Pul, Ghor, Daikundi, Arghandab, Helmand, Kandahar, Baghlan, Samangan, Takhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Logar, Paktya, Paktika, Khost, Kunar and Nuristan.

The department indicated rainfall levels ranging from 10 to 35 millimeters in various areas.

Two civilians killed and 25 others—most of them children—wounded in recent attacks by the Pakistani military across three provinces.

Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated that since Wednesday, Pakistani forces have carried out artillery, mortar, and drone strikes in the provinces of Kunar, Paktika, and Khost. Additionally, 178 rounds of long-range artillery and mortar shells struck various areas of the Manogai, Dangam, Nari, and Shultan districts, though no casualties have yet been reported.

Furthermore, in the Jando Ghar area of Zazi Maidan District in Khost, two civilians (Mirullah, son of Mirbaz, and Armanullah, son of Khan Zaman) were injured in a drone strike by the Pakistani military regime.

The Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, Hamdullah Firtak, says that since yesterday, the Pakistani military regime has repeatedly bombarded the Nuristan, Paktika, and Khost provinces with howitzers, rockets, and drones, resulting in the deaths of 2 Afghan civilians and 25 others wounded.

He added that the Pakistani regime fired 155 howitzer and long-range rocket rounds at the Sarkani and Munari districts of Nuristan province, wounding two children and destroying a vehicle.
