Mom is going crazy because her (#wireless) #Mouse and #Keyboard suddenly will not work on her #PC.

I replaced the #batteries on both, #unplugged the #Computer. Nothing.

Looking it up on MY pc, I get the ever so helpful advice to "use a #systemrestore," or "run #Windowstroubleshooter."

That's great, but HOW am I to do any of those without a working keyboard or mouse?

Microsoft standardizes Windows 11 restore points at 60 days max. Finally, consistent disappointment! 📅 No more wondering if your restore point will last 10 days or 90 - it's a solid 60 days of "I should have backed up properly."

Whoa! System Restore is fucked-up in Windows 11 right now (22H2)!

It completely detaches most installed software & file associations and the advice from Microsoft is to reconnect them all one-at-a-time.

It's borking basics like Notepad, Windows Security, Windows Store, etc.. It's a complete mess.

I've never had any troubles with System Restore before, it's always been the fallback. This is so damn weird / awful. WTF Microsoft?
