Problem after upgrade

I have a major problem. My machine had two operating systems on it Windows and Ubuntu 22.04 . When I started up the machine I could choose Ubuntu or Windows. I have saved all my data on the machin...

When you've issues with the glue between the layers having started to leach out it (apparently) also helps to just keep the disk in the drive and try to read from it for 1-2 days straight.

It failed to read two days ago but now appears to be just fine (even though it still reports broken sectors it at least plays again just fine now?!?)

My current best guess is that the heat and it spinning smoothed out the glue enough so that it is sufficiently readable now.

LOL even the CDs that #Kelloggs threw into their cornflakes boxes in the early 2000s have better quality than the #HarryPotter DVDs.

2 Disks with the 2nd layer unreadable.
1 Disk initially unreadable but after some convincing become readable again.

LỖI "Errors have been detected in the file Outlook.OST" thường do đồng bộ hóa sai, tệp OST bị hỏng, hoặc cấu hình Outlook lỗi.

Lol, the disk swap trick actually works.
Had a DVD that was not recognised by the OS anymore and I just disassembled the drive, put a working one in, waited for it to spin down, took off the lid replaced the disk, and put the lid back on. Now it dumps the broken one without throwing SCSI errors.

Would you trust a USB 3.0 HDD (with anything) that has 0.000001% of unreadable sectors?

(not related to the picture I shared earlier, I'm working on 4 different recovery projects at once right now with an entire stack of "unknown" aka. to check and potentially recovery left on the desk. Don't we all know coming home for #Christmas to meet up with ones relatives?)

What is this damage pattern of this disk?
I feel like when arranged correctly it makes some pattern but I'm not good enough to get something better.

Maybe because I only resized the columns and bars to have the cells reflow around and not actually put it onto a circular disk. Either way it looks quite interesting.
