Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon – Spellblade Build
A sword in one hand, fire in the other. This battlemage build balances melee DPS with strong spell utility. Works great in early and mid-game.

In 2018, I started a project that was originally going to be a miniseries in tribute to my favorite YouTuber at the time. However, the project quickly became too much for me to handle.

Thus, I reimagined it.

In the past six years, I have been working on this project, originally called Project Kaxáva (a word meaning "game" in one of this universe's conlangs, Nuántan), then becoming Spellblade around 2023.

Spellblade is a universe in which we, Na Sàistean, imagine a solarpunk, anarchist future, where futuristic, eco-friendly technology intertwine with natural and emotional magic, oftentimes being one and the same. It is a story of how complacence leads to tyranny, a story of resistance against such tyranny, a story of corruption by yet-unseen forces, a story of hurt, of recovery, of queer love, breakup, systemic and personal trauma, and a fair amount of kinky play to count.

The main storyline of the Spellblade story we're writing takes place within the years 9,980-10,010AL, a period of 30 years. Though the universe extends far further both forwards and backwards, I chose these years to explain the rise and fall of Dikabal Sarasha, a dictator who took the reigns of Nuántaka. Dikabal took over rather peacefully at first, but eventually entrenched his power with violence, culminating in three separate rebellions, those being Afróra's assassination attempt in 9,980AL, Ráva's Decimus uprising in 9,993AL, and Núa's uprising in 9,998AL. During Dikabal's reign, numerous atrocities were committed, which we will get into as we post more and more lore, however, the most notable is the creation of a magic-fueled mind virus known as the Corruption. The Corruption is the namesake of the Corruption War of 10,000AL, in which a corrupted Ástara Abulára launches this plague into the world, with Núa, Avachin, Chlora, and others leading the Spellblade Alliance, a group of powerful mages who work together to reverse the Corruption's effects on the world.

Morning Folks! Hope the week has been mostly tolerable.

I've been screwing around with a Spellblade in #LastEpoch and I have deeply conflicted feelings about the build. I'm hoping with gear I can solve some of the survival problems... but it sure can straight murder the campaign and monoliths.

Flamereaving - Tales of the Aggronaut

I've leveled a Spellblade in Last Epoch and have some mixed feelings about it, however it sure does shred things.
