Happy #SofaSunday! A chilly morning is turning into a sunny, pleasant day. Since I got my gardening done yesterday, I can spend today doing what I want without any guilt. That'll certainly include a walk and porch time with a book.

This should recharge my batteries for the upcoming week that involves multiple errands and appointments. Besides, we don't get many days with sun and low humidity. We have to appreciate them when they show up.

It was a surprising start to #myday #today. 😲
The sun actually started out shing brightly through my window this morning. ☀️
Granted, it was filtered by the morning fog and didn't get to hang around very long. But HEY. Sunshine to wake up this morning. 🤗

It's still quite humid n muggy-sticky 70deg out there, heading for a mid-80 muggy day, and the clouds are not too thick to keep the sun away all day. So, I guess that makes it a sunny, muggy-sticky, sorta day ahead of me today. 🤔

Nothing but my Sunday of sofa surfing on my schedule today. Though, if the sun does shine, I may just brave the sticky to step outside for a bit of sitting n sipping to bask in the sunshine for a bit. ☕️😎
If taking a towel along isn't required for it.👌😁

A not so cool 70deg outside, with very high humidy and oppressively high dew point matching the temperature at 70deg too.🥹

There's yet more rain predicted to by falling later this morning, as well. Yay me. 🌧

Worse yet, it feels like the muggy has somehow snuck inside to settle in my achy bones today.🥴

So, yup. It's gonna be another long day of watching the weather while sitting n sucking on my coffee cup. ☕️

But then, Sofa surfing while watching the weather sounds like a good way to spend a #SofaSunday. 👍

Happy #SofaSunday! We finally got some rain yesterday (!) and now it seems we'll have a high chance of getting more each day through Tuesday. That's making for a pretty dreary long weekend. It also ensures a marathon weeding session will be in order once things eventually dry out.

Most "official" outdoor events through today have been cancelled, but we have to wait to see if tomorrow's parade will be called off.

None of this disrupts my plans for a quiet day. I shall carry on.

Good morning, y'all. Hope ya all enjoyed a lovely #SofaSunday sleep-in this morning. 👋

Ya know, I sure tried. But between the sun insisting I rise n shine, the birds chirping happily "hello", the continuing calling of the coffee pot, and the waking up of my aches n pains, my efforts to that end wasn't as hoped for. 😏
But HEY. An extra 15 minutes of snoozing, I'll count as a win anyway. 💪

It appears that despite what the calendar shows, the weather gods are saying summertime has arrived. We are expecting heat into the 90s for at least the next few days, and the humidity is supposedly sticking around to introduce our first tastes of the hot n muggy-sticky stuff of the season. 🥵

With that to look forward to, ya can bet I'm not planning on stepping outside into it at all. I'll gladly sit n sip and watch the grass wilt n dry out, from the comfort of my comfy chair, not sweating in the AC inside. 👍

Or, more fitting for #today, slouching on my comfy couch, potato-ing #myday away as the day requires of me today. 💪

Happy #SofaSunday! Today starts my strategy for keeping the house cool. It mostly consists of pulling blinds down on the sunny sides of the house and keeping ceiling fans on. We'll see how long we can go without needing to turn on the A/C against near-90F (32C) heat for the next several days.

Yesterday I watched the chickadee babies leave the nest box. All 5 were successful taking flight straight out of the box. That's one heck of a pop quiz! Welcome to the wide world, little ones.
