Join Loops or sign in, with one tap, using Sign in with Apple.
Rolling out to our TestFlight soon, and later to the App Store!
Implemented the handling for “Sign in with Apple” in my little Rust server. The mobile app sends the identifier given by SiwA, sends it to the server which then creates a signed request and sends it to an Apple server. The result is ok if the user is valid and my server can then set up a normal authorisation token and send back to the app. Pretty simple but still nice to have it all also in the Rust server.
When you use Sign in with Apple on Loops, and you don't have an account associated with your email, we create a new account and generate a username for you.
Most people prefer to pick their own username, so guess what I'm working on?
Username change support ✨
One tap onboarding, it doesn't get any easier than that with Sign in with Apple ✨

Seems Sign in with Apple is still broken in iOS simulators. It's been broken for years and years now and it seems Apple just can't be bothered to fix it. Annoying. I would rather have Apple fix all bugs than spend all their effort at failing to do anything useful with AI or create unnecessary new visual themes. I guess I'm a minority though.
