Hello everyone, is it just me or this file is inaccessible
https://iam.charon.monster/files/18beccc8-b956-42f0-90fe-90a36b701ca4

after migration to another vps, I can't understand that why some of my file is permission denied, I checked the perm, and it's surely correct and I can upload this image, but can't view some of the old one. I'm running misskey in docker. The file is there when I search for it.

@mcc Thanks. More than 10 years ago I found that building sufficient reputation to actually discuss things is toil (unless one asks very trivial questions in a new technology, of course - the more trivial the better).

They can keep what I wrote, but that's that. I've just deleted my profiles at #stackoverflow, #ServerFault, #AskUbuntu, Electrical Engineering and Meta Stack Exchange.

@joshb @EposVox EXACTLY THAT!

#Discord is worse than #Mailingists, #IRC and #Forums combined because those - like #GitHub #Issues or any other public site & server - can at least be #crawled and #archived in a #searchable fashion.

Whereas Discord is peak #Enshittification and not only #AntiAccessibility but also the worst kind of communication solution, as there isn't even any option to export stuff from within it - something even #Slack & #MicrosoftTeams can do [#Zulip has been able to do that from the start]...

Discord is a bad and wrong excuse not to provide #public documentation and/or downloads.

#GithubPages is free & #DDoS-protected #Webhosting and for fast downloads on the cheap, #BitTorrent exists for almost two decades now...

I mean, do people who use Discord know how many times people like me needed to use @internetarchive / #InternetArchive's #WaybackMachine to access contents?
How many hours of labour have been collectively saved by #DuckDuckGo #InstantAnswer linking to the correct #StackOverflow / #ServerFault thread??

Discord is an #InformationBlackHole and should be regarded with the same public accessibility as a intelligence agency's database: Don't use it and don't contribute to it - period!

Now as a #ServerFault question, go get your rep!

Can a service managed by #systemd #systemctl on #RedHat server send its #log somewhere other than /var/log/messages?

Can a service managed by systemd send its logs somewhere other than /var/log/messages?

We have a RHEL 8 server where we have a few python applications installed for data management and analysis, notably JupyterHub and Airflow. We have these set up with systemd unit files so we can st...

STACK OVER'THROW'

Similar to #youtube_dl we need sites just for mirroring #stackOverflow sites.

Now that #CloudGlare have hijacked #serverFault, unix, #stackExchange, #askUbuntu and the entire StackOverflow family of sites, CloudGlare are more able to learn the types of work people might be doing.

Just more anti-competitive #monopolisation of the dumpster fire we can #theInternet.

We can't bomb CloudGlare datacenters, so a distributed #selfHealing system is needed.

@rodhilton *nodds in agreement*

As much as one can criticize #duckDuckGo for a lot of their search results being bad [don't use them for anything re: #trans #healthcare cuz they'll vomit up #transmisogynist #hate #propaganda] they at least know how to make their #InstantAnswers work and spit out the correct result to something from #StackOverflow / #ServerFault 97,5% of the time...

@ashiisbest so basically the reason why I never bothered to ask anything on #StackOverflow / #ServerFault and other sites of that group...

Open letter to #StackOverflow.com, #askUbuntu, #serverfault, et al,

Not everyone runs your javascript code to remove your #cookiesDialog. Please add an 'background-color' alpha value of 0.9 so people can see through it, or use a "CSS close button trick".

Having to 'Inspect Element' > 'Delete Node' to remove the #HTML element is a bother.

As an aside, non-invasive and non-predatory adverts are fine.

Thanks

Anyone have experience with #wireguard? I have a “server” with two “peers” that can connect etc. All three have an RFC1918 IPv4 in the same subnet. How can I make the two peers able to reach each other via the server? All the things a web search / #serverfault suggest so far haven’t helped. No need to reach networks beyond the peers.
