Das Licht von oben verdunkelte die Finsternis noch mehr; aber das lumen naturae, es ist das Licht der Finsternis selbst, es erhellt seine eigene Dunkelheit, und die Finsternis begreift dieses Licht, und darum wandelt es das Schwarze ins Helle, verbrennt alles überflüssige (wenn das Heilmittel brennt, soll der dichte Schatten des Körpers entfernt werden) und hinterläßt nichts als die Hefe und die Schlacken und die verworfene Erde (…) Also ist das Licht der Analogie nach Aktion der Selbstbezähmung der Materie!

What are the benefits for Geany of porting it to GTK4?

The editor/IDE #Geany is still #GTK3 and the hampering factor was that the editing engine #scintilla wasn't ported to GTK4 but it exists now.
However, one of the main developers questions, if there are any benefits at all in porting Geany to GTK4:

"I wonder if anyone would find motivation for this. As said in #3675, in my personal opinion there are no benefits at all in GTK4."
