I suspect so. The book is marvelous, but particularly so for the #bibliophile.

#Sayers studied #French #Medieval #Literature, and in this particular 'detective novel' she 'samples' from a wide range of them, and the secret storyline arc - which makes it melancholy (and is a #spoiler) is the title mentioned twice.

I will not give it away. Besides, I am not quite finished, so I do not know with certainty!

This is the 2nd #PeterWimsey #whodunit, and 2nd novel.

Been hitting the local semi-annual library sale a few times this weekend, and have been working on some family collections. The Dune shelf is now overflowing, and the 1960s/1970s Dorothy Sayers paperback collection is on its way. #books #librarysale #dune #sayers

John Dickson #Carr ist eigentlich ein Überklassiker des #GoldenAge Krimis, aber wie fast alle Autoren des Genres kennt man den als deutschsprachige Krimileserin nicht mehr (in UK ist es ein bissle anders, aber nicht sehr.) Ich arbeite mit Hilfe der Reihe in British Library Publishing gerade das ganze Genre jenseits von #Christie und #Sayers auf. Carr habe ich noch nicht gelesen (der ist Spezialist für Locked-Room-#Mysteries, die finde ich nicht so spannend), vielleicht wird das mein erster.
