I suspect so. The book is marvelous, but particularly so for the #bibliophile.

#Sayers studied #French #Medieval #Literature, and in this particular 'detective novel' she 'samples' from a wide range of them, and the secret storyline arc - which makes it melancholy (and is a #spoiler) is the title mentioned twice.

I will not give it away. Besides, I am not quite finished, so I do not know with certainty!

This is the 2nd #PeterWimsey #whodunit, and 2nd novel.

➜ yuletide fic - for the Lord Peter Wimsey books

➜ Harriet's POV on v-shaped polyamory negotiations, Harriet/Peter and Peter/Bunter

➜ the voice is so well done, of Harriet's whole pov but also every line of Peter's dialogue is dripping with the exact right kind of piffle he likes to talk, with all the casual references and so forth

➜ and the way they work out the relationship dynamics between the three of them, what is and isn't said, and what each of them is looking for, feels so right too!

➜ 10k words in length

I've been listening to an audio version of #FiveRedHerrings, the #PeterWimsey novel by #DorothyLSayers. This must be the most densely plotted, most confusing mystery ever written. In spite of the several recaps in the book, I am totally lost.
