Finally ditched Microsoft Windows completely after using it for ~3 decades. I now have alternatives for all remaining use cases I still needed it for (audio production with Samplitude, CD extraction with Exact Audio Copy, tax declaration). All those ads and Recall just have gotten too much.

Hi, I am Florian, a #Xennial doing #MusicComposition since I had a #CircleOfFifths-epiphany at school. Around the same time, I started playing #guitar and #piano .

I got started with #MusicProduction on the #CommodoreAmiga with #OctaMED , moved to #Cubase and #Samplitude , did some experimenting with #Ardour on #LinuxAudio , and ended up in #AbletonLive . I used to run a small #RecordingStudio , but switched to a different day job.

Die 4 existierenden Lieder habe ich damals mit #Samplitude Pro X4 abgemischt. Ich wollte aber nochmal kleinere Korrekturen am Mix durchführen. Dafür mussten die Projekte wieder angefasst werden.
Leider war das ganze sehr müßig, denn mein derzeitiger Windows-PC war für die Aufgabe zu schwach, und das obwohl die CPU laut Benchmarks mehr Performance (Single Core + Multi Core) bieten soll als der damalige PC. Ständig Buffer Underruns, und die UI von Samplitude fand ich mittlerweile etwas altbacken.
