Unbelievable. The City of #CharlestonSC have recently stated, for the record, they are against bicycles because they don't want to "encourage cycling as a mode of transportation" during a committee meeting discussion on proposed #SCDOT changes to King Street.

So my bicycle is a toy. And when I am operating my bicycle on public roadways I'm on a toy. I wonder what #SouthCarolina law has to say about #bicycling.

I filled out a maintenance work request on the South Carolina Department of Transportation website and the SC DOT worked it. Yay! There was a fallen pine tree near the sidewalk blocking the view of oncoming traffic at the crossing point. Below are the before and after photos. #pedestrians #sidewalk #scdot
