The Senators play with more intensity in the regular season playing the Canadiens than what they did this weekend. And Brady Tkachuk made a huge mistake taking himself out for 5 minutes (and a really good move by Staal).

Ottawa will be in Raleigh for game 1 of this playoff series this afternoon. The two teams are different in how they play, in offense and defense. Stats are not telling the whole story there. Ottawa is good at protecting the crease, while that is a weakness for Carolina. On offense, Carolina has a very high volume of shots, but most are from a distance, low danger. Ottawa have lower shots volume, but they are from much shorter distances.
