African or Jackass Penguin dozing in the shade
African Penguins are in the "Threatened" category.
This one belongs to the big colony in Simon's Town where they are protected by law.
The entire area of the colony has been declared a national park and is run by South Afican National Parks.

Bat Eared Foxes

We were privileged to see Bat Eared Foxes in the Mountain Zebra National Park. They use those big ears to detect insects which they then dig for in the dry sand.
