Óli Gneisti (English)#RobertRankin, author of farfetched fiction, got into #Ebooks in an unusual way. He was having problems with publishers and didn't see a future as a writer. His son pointed out that he had the rights to publish his earlier works in ebook form.
Rankin didn't think that was viable since he didn't have the texts available digitally. His son said that was no problem since the books had been pirated so they could just clean up those versions for publication. Rankin has sold a lot of ebooks.
