Fantastische Irrtümer: Die Notwendigkeit von Tyrannei & Unauflösbarkeit der Fragilität von Frieden
Finished a listen through of Raising Steam (audio books really are great for dog walks and driving) and it's just as good as I remember it being on release.
Such a great bit of writing and peak Terry, but now I am sad because despite all the hints of stories that could have been, we'll not be seeing them.

I can't believe it took me 43 days to get through #RaisingSteam. Very enjoyable but I'm still not sure of this Moist character & whether I like him or not
#Maskerade & #Pyramids were delivered to #BorrowBox weeks ago. I started Maskerade as its got the shortest lend time left

Finished #RaisingSteam and quite enjoyed it. 3.5 stars for what that's worth.
It's definitely a very emotional book for me, in that it's clear to see how Sir Terry's health was affecting him.
I still need to steel myself to read his final #Discworld novel...
@vicorva
I'd say that's perfectly fine.
I'll probably get some flack from hardcore #TerryPratchett / #DiscWorlds fans for this, but trying to constantly reuse your OCs can also get tiresome.
Sir Terry had introduced quite some characters over time, and to me it felt like he was trying to use all of them in subsequent books.
Especially in #RaisingSteam it felt like he had to use all of them, resulting in brief appearance that felt rushed: https://mastodon.social/users/FiXato/statuses/103270187573167085

The further I get into Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel Raising Steam, the more rushed it feels...
I have a feeling this would've done better spread over 2 or 3 books, rather than a single one. Characters and species keep getting introduced out of nowhere, and barely given any content before moving on again to the next.
Maybe it's to enhance the fleeting aspect of a train passing by along its tracks, but it just feels unfinished and rushed to me.
