With my seventh #interrail pass I finally dared to travel the endboss: #spain 😅

When making reservations with #raileurope they only gave me second class from Paris in direction Barcelona without letting me decide and didn’t react on my questions 👎

In #Portbou I noticed that the time tables of the #RailPlanner app / #DB and #renfe were not the same 🤯 So there are rails (👍) but planning seems hard 👎 cc: @jon

Thus I unfolded my #brompton and had some extra time a la playa 👍

@moof has previously complained about non-refundable #Interrail reservation fees creeping onto #Raileurope. Noticed this today: "Purchased your global pass with us? You won’t pay reservation fees when purchasing seat reservations from SNCF, Trenitalia or Eurostar."

Mildly interesting thing when booking #Interrail #Eurostar ticket through #Raileurope account and importing into Eurostar account: booking arrives with +alias stripped.

@bovine3dom @gabrielstravels.bsky.social And #TIL I learned you don't need to open multiple tabs to get the seat you want on the #TGV of your choice - just start a group booking of $SeatsAvailable-1 in the coach you want, select the seats you don't want, add to cart and proceed to payment, then let #RailEurope "randomly" allocate the seat you wanted all along, and contemplate that you need to get out more. 💪

#Interrail day 6/7b: to #Aberdeen I chose reservation-free trains. The #RailPlanner app signed the following #LNER connection as not reservation-free, but when I wanted to make the reservation at #RailEurope they said it’s free (and thus wouldn’t sell). LNER‘s chatbot also stated that a reservation is not mandatory so I just entered the #train and found the best places you can get 😊

Making an #Interrail reservation on #Raileurope, the last step before payment gives you a seat number which you can then check on the seat map on that #SNCF hellsite. Removing the reservation from the cart on Raileurope you can see the seat become free again on SNCF Infect. Wondering how many browser tabs are needed to block the seats I don't want before trying again... 🤔

Wenn ich über Raileurope #Interrail - Reservierungen buche, muss ich ja eine Passnummer angeben - wenn ich aber noch nicht weiß, welchen Pass ich dann nehme oder die Nummer noch nicht kenne (Begleitung hat ihr Interrailticket noch nicht), was mache ich dann?
Wird die Passnummer überhaupt in der Reservierung hinterlegt?
Bei meinen Frankreichreservierungen letzten Sommer hatte ich nicht den Eindruck - aber vielleicht ist das ja beim Nachtzug Italien anders und verknüpft?
