Für X ist man sich bei Proton weiterhin nicht zu schade.

This post on the #Proton blog shows that they might at least be less gullible than their CEO about Trump and the Republican Party, but I would sure like them not to completely ignore their community's concerns over their CEO's recent statements.

So, Proton don't make it easy to get your email out of their silly system. You have to download a CLI package to do it, but once logged in, it's fairly straightforward. Find the details here at the attached link.

I'm moving mine all to Tuta. To my surprise, Proton gave me a full refund.

Does anyone know of any other E2EE email provider that offers a locally running IMAP bridge like Proton Mail does?

From what I've seen, other services either don't provide third-party client integration at all (Tuta) or allow direct IMAP access without the need of a bridge — which sounds to me like emails have to be decrypted server-side, so that can't be real E2EE right?

Lol, Proton have offered me "two extra months - free of charge - to help resolve this issue". I think the only way this could be resolved is for the CEO to step down and the foundation to fully commit to not supporting fascist regimes.

But I don't see that happening.
