Does your email service enable you to easily and quickly mark a message as "dealt with"? Last I knew, Google had this feature. Outlook as well. Protonmail doesn't have this feature.

I've been wanting to move away from #Gmail for a long time but

1. I started using #thunderbird as a first step. But thunderbird's search doesn't work well for me, particularly on mobile. So when I need something critical and fast, I open gmail.com

2. I've messed with both #tuta and #proton but I think it's weird that I can't use them with thunderbird. You're supposed to only use their web apps. But that doesn't seem how email is "supposed" to work.

So what should I do?
